In the Haute-Garonne department, a mere 50 km south of Toulouse, the “Halte du Temps’ guest house displays an attractive charm, both genuine and warm which cannot but enchant our potential guests.
Marie-Andrée and Dominique will be delighted to welcome you in their comfortable 17th century mansion nestling in the heart of the fortified town of Montesquieu-Volvestre.

Montesquieu-Volvestre is located at the junction of the departments of the Haute-Garonne and Ariège, in an area rich in historical sites to be found in the foothills of the Pyrenées.
Montesquieu-Volvestre was built as a fortress by the Romans and then became, in the 13th century, a ‘bastide’ or fortified medieval new town which specialised in the industry of pastel, linen and woollen cloth. One can still admire medieval houses and a fortified church within its walls. In the 13th century, three water mills were operating on the river Arize; now only the Moulin de Barrau survives, west of the town.
